My Story

The Next Meal

Ciao! I’m Daniele, a chef from Naples in South Italy.

I spent eight years working in restaurant in London before relocating to Kirklevington a couple of years ago with my girlfriend, who’s from Yarm.

Mine are old family recipes, and everything I cook is the product of growing up in a home where food really does equate to love. Plus, some tricks of the trade I’ve learned along the way throughout my career as a chef.

  Handmade pasta is back for the Autumn with a brand NEW menu!

All my pasta is handmade daily to order, and some of my sauces are cooked for 10-12 hours. Basically, everything I create is made with a whole lot of love, because that’s what food means to me. I also make antipasti conserves, which are delicious served on crusty bread or as a side.



Italian guanciale cooked with onion, brandy, and a Jerusalem artichoke cream. Finished with chives.



Neapolitan Ragu

Traditionally served with gnocchi, this super-rich tomato ragu is slow-cooked with ultra-tender beef brisket, making for a robust, meaty sauce.



The Godfather of pasta sauces. My Bolognese is cooked for no less than 10 hours, resulting in a rich ragu full of ultra-tender minced beef and pork, packed with authentic flavour.


Neapolitan lasagna

This is no ‘ordinary’ lasagna! Layers of fresh pasta sheets are interspersed with a rich chianti ragu, Italian fennel sausages, salami, ricotta and hard boiled eggs – all topped with fior di latte and parmesan cheese.
